Education Bachelor's Programs

Begin your career as a teacher with a Bachelor's degree in Education. There are several programs throughout the country including a number of distance learning programs that will educate you on how to be a teacher. Most require you to complete a student-teaching internship at an actual school so you can get the hands-on experience necessary to run your own classroom. Not all Education majors work in schools; many companies are recruiting education professionals for corporate training purposes.

A Bachelor's degree enables you to teach upon graduation, along with the licensure required in your state. If you want to advance in this growing industry, you can use the Bachelor's degree as the foundation to getting your Master’s degree and even a Ph.D.

The opportunities for teachers are expected to open up between 2008 and 2018 as many existing teachers will retire, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
