Offering a blend of educational know-how and general leadership, private and public school administrators are needed to oversee operations and ensure a quality learning experience. To become an Educational Administrator, you must take your education all the way—a four-year degree alone does not guarantee entry into this field. Many Education Administrators have worked as teachers in schools and/or worked their way up the ladder while acquiring additional educational requirements. To pursue this career path, you will need to study concepts such as instructional theory, curriculum development, educational law, community relations, crisis management, and financial management.

There are several specializations in which Education Administrators, depending on their preferences. Some of these include early childhood education, elementary education, secondary education, higher education, special education, educational technology, and distance learning.
